ELS ONLINE

The object of the contract was an information system for the submission of ecology subventions in UK. The same GIS technology was used as for IACS.
ELS Online was designed for use by the British Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). It is a Java application, which allows farmers to fulfil formulary for European Union’s agricultural subsidies. Users draw their parcels on digital orthophoto images and send web formulary to institution concerned. Application allows drawing and reshaping vector shapes (points, lines and polygons), which represent their agricultural land on the digital orthophoto images basis, entering attribute data, calculating graphic area, calculating the amount of subsidy and printing of formulary. It is an web application, that allows some 100 users to work on same database. Application is easy to maintain and use, it is designed for occasional personal computer users.
