Migration Tools
Migration tools can be developed to enable transfer of data stored in ESRI Shapefile format or other file-based formats or uploaded data into the central relational database. The features of these
tools include:
batch import of data into a database
geo-referencing of imported scanned maps (see Figure 1)
geographical transformation of the imported data (and fitting – see Figure 2)
advanced topological checking
resolution of topological errors (in agreement with the administration and in accordance with regulations)
advanced attribute data checking
The validation and clean-up can be performed using custom scripts and can be monitored using a special application.
