Cosy Project Manager

Cosy Project Manager is a scientific project management and control tool which provides a complete solution for small and medium size companies and research institutes. All stakeholders in  a project benefit from the system: developers, project managers, senior management, customers and subcontractors.

It enables developers to track their work and communicate effectively, project managers to monitor progress of individual projects and management to supervise critical parameters of the organization at any time.

Main features of the CPM system:

The Cosy Project Manager system was developed for projects such as development of control systems for nuclear accelerators  across the globe. Because our projects include contributors from different locations it  is of paramount importance that our project management solution is of the highest quality.

User portal:

When  a user performs the login process, a site displaying all the modules is shown. The entry site guides the user to various modules and information required to either complete the task or manage the project (depending on the role of the user).

Time management:

CPM solution allows users an insight into information  about projects they are involved  in, but first and foremost, the tasks assigned to them, or that were assigned/requested by them.  The users can monitor the time spent on each task as well as the people involved in it.

The base of the CPM system is a "ticket", or a work order.  It is assigned by the project manager to an employee. Each ticket is located in a project hierarchy and can have references to other tickets - parent tickets or child tickets (for  subtasks  of one assignment). The owner of  a ticket must constantly enter the time spent for a particular task. Any correspondence with other people on the ticket (either as watchers, or as owners) is also recorded if it is sent via e-mail or  the web interface.

The project manager can also create and assign new tickets via e-mail which reduces the time needed to create a task hierarchy.

Team interaction:

One of the most important factors in successfully completing, managing and reviewing a project is  the interaction between team members. CPM allows users to review all communication they had,  because every message     sent via e-mail or  the web interface is recorded.

History of a particular ticket.

Project tracking:

The project manager or a member of the project group is given access to  project tracking. This includes the number of tickets created, resolved, stalled, etc., as well as the state of the project (time-line) according to the time spent or required (based on information entered in tickets)... All information is presented both graphically and numerically.

Detailed project report allows the managers to constantly monitor the progress of a particular ticket or the whole project.

Planning, preparation and management of a project:

The web interface for planning, preparation and management of a project allows the project manager to easily and efficiently enter the most important information for a single project, assign the team to be working on it, and appoint basic assignments (tickets). CPM then automatically creates the required dependencies, assigns the tickets and notifies the people involved.

Stopwatch:
The Stopwatch is a utility  that allows employees to easily and efficiently manage their daily schedule. From  a list of tickets,  a user selects the desired ticket. When completed, the user can click the ticket again and  send the information about the time spent  to the system.

The stopwatch utlity allows developers to easily manage their time.
