Beam Line Control System

The Cosylab Beamline Control System is a revolutionary concept: a commercial, off-the-shelf and turn-key control system for any beamline at a fixed and low price.

The control system can often pose a risk to projects, it is never quite finished and can often result in many diverse and incompatible solutions, not to mention  it is usually not well documented. We have therefore used our broad experiences with light sources and had optimized design and development procedures to minimize cost and confusion. We can now offer a single homogeneous solution comprising software, hardware and commissioning.

The standard, fixed price package includes full project management, installation and turn-key handover, allowing our customers, ranging from manufacturers of beamlines to laboratories themselves, to focus on their core competences.

The software comes in versions for the most common open-source standard control systems EPICS, TANGO and ACS, but can be ported to any custom control system the client has. Cosylab also provides highly reliable and robust PC-104 based hardware controllers  for motors, instruments, switches and vacuum equipment.
