How 7 students and a doctor created…

Before Cosylab was actually created in the year 2001, seven young students of physics were working together on different projects under the wing of the Jožef Štefan Institute. They have united in the year 1996, when Mark (the doctor) started gathering a group of students that would develop a system for an advancer. Therefore, before Cosylab was even created, there was a group of enthusiasts, called KGB - Kontrollgruppe fϋr Beschleuniger. The name comes from the first control system for the advancer they have created for Germans, and it is a symbol for the idea that they control everything.

After successfully finishing their first project, the group faced its first dilemma in the year 2000 - should the members continue heir study or proceed with such work? They have decided to create their own company and that is how Cosylab was created. At the moment we have more than 35 full-time employees along with more than 80 students on our staff. Furthermore, we are always looking for new employees with fresh ideas that are interested in working in our firm. Among our employees we have 8 participants in Olympic Games, 2 of them reached 100% at the acceptance tests at the University for physics in the USA, etc.
