C++/CUDA Software Engineer (m/f)

Job role

You will work on a novel cancer therapy software project consisting of multiple distributed components and workflows in this role. Depending on your background and interests, the possibilities include developing the software backbone or implementing of advanced medical physics algorithms and their optimization by utilizing modern GPUs’ power.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and implement medical physics algorithms or cancer therapy software components for Microsoft Windows.
  • Work with medical physicists on specifications and design of software systems.
  • Test and document your work.
  • Participate in meetings and code reviews with other team members.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency and experience using modern CUDA and C++.
  • Strong knowledge of software design, programming techniques, and computer science fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with source control (git), continuous integration, code analysis, and other modern programming practices.
  • At least B.Sc. in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering or other related technical disciplines.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Developed communication skills and an open mind for discussion and team collaboration.

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience with scientific computing.
  • Strong background in mathematics and computational techniques (numerical methods).
  • Experience with medical physics.
