Japanese State Minister of Labour Mr Hideki MAKIHARA visits Cosylab to hear of its HRM best-practices

On the 26th of January 2018, Cosylab was visited by a delegation of Japanese high government officials, headed by Mr Hideki MAKIHARA, State Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare. Cosylab provided insights into its organization of work, working culture, company structure and care for well-being of its employees.

On the 26th of January 2018, Cosylab was visited by a delegation of Japanese high government officials, headed by Mr Hideki MAKIHARA, State Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare. Cosylab provided insights into its organization of work, working culture, company structure and care for well-being of its employees.

The visit is part of a Japanese initiative to transfer international HRM best-practices into their local environment.

Cosylab CEO Mark Pleško gave a presentation with an overview of the company.

Igor Verstovšek, Deputy CEO and Officer responsible for strategic HRM, presented Cosylab's organization of work and working habits, including concrete examples of best HRM practices implemented in Cosylab.

Mr Makihira and other delegation members presented several detailed questions to further their understanding on the matter and underlined the importance of striking a better work-life balance of Japanese employees in the future. The delegation members also weighed in on several aspects of how to further the well-being and satisfaction of employees.
