On Wednesday, September 2nd 2020, the University of Ljubljana and the Ljubljanski univerzitetni inkubator (LUI) conducted a very successful webinar with our CEO, Mark Pleško, titled “From Researcher to Entrepreneur“. Mark answered the many questions of the participants with his usual energy and honesty, employing anecdotes, wise comparisons and personal experience.
Among other things, he commented on the parallels between the profession of researcher and entrepreneur. Mark emphasized that a top scientist and business leader are similar in many ways, as they both need to be proactive and enterprising, as well as good managers.
As an excellent example of how to be proactive, Mark recalled how it came about that he figures so prominently on the official group photo of the Chinese economic minister and the EU delegation to China.
